We are seeking a Fundraising & Communications Coordinator to play a key role in advancing the mission of United Way of St. Charles. This position leads fundraising efforts and strengthens community awareness through active communication and outreach.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

· Lead and manage the annual United Way Campaign and year-round fundraising activities

· Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with donors, businesses, community partners, and volunteers

· Develop and implement an annual marketing/advertising plan

· Coordinate campaign special events and support campaign presentations and outreach efforts

· Manage external communications and media/marketing with a focus on educating the community on United Way’s impact

· Generate and manage website and social media content

· Proofread and edit public-facing materials to ensure clear and consistent messaging

 

Qualifications and Competencies

· Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related experience preferred

· Previous experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or sales work preferred

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking

· Proactive and confident relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills

· Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

· Self-motivated and team-oriented

· Proofreading and editing skills required

· Familiarity with graphic design software 

· Knowledge of website and social media management tools, analytics, and reporting

· Familiarity with the St. Charles Parish area is an asset

· Starting annual of $45,000-$55,000 based on experience and qualifications

 

Note: You don’t need to be an expert in every responsibility on day one. We’ll provide guidance and support, but we’re looking for someone who is proactive, confident, and eager to take ownership of their duties.
